Reporting to the Dean of the School of Healthcare Business and Technology, the Director will actively elevate MCPHS as a leader in data science education within the life sciences and biopharma sector. You’ll work closely with the Dean and industry-focused colleagues to forge new relationships, expand student experiential learning opportunities, and ensure our programs remain aligned with the latest industry trends. This role is based on our Boston campus, with the opportunity for inter-campus collaboration and flexibility in scheduling.
Strategic Leadership & Vision :
- Establish and lead data science programming within the School of Healthcare Business and Technology.
- Develop and articulate a forward-thinking vision for the future of data science education, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the healthcare, life sciences, and biopharma industries.
- Identify academic opportunities that prepare the next generation of data scientists for roles in healthcare, life sciences, biopharma, and clinical sectors.
- Support incorporation of diversity, equity and inclusion into the curriculum, as well as co-curricular experiences, to broaden the education of students and expand their knowledge of health disparities.
