What are the responsibilities and job description for the PACU Patient Care Associate position at Massachusetts General Hospital?
- Qualifications - Required: Must have recent experience, and/or training, in clinical patient care!
- Preferred: Licensed, certified or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire, OR
- Candidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, PA undergraduate program, with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed, at time of hire.
Skills
PCA assists patients with daily living needs, supervising & reading vital signs, drawing blood, and acquiring EKGs. Responds to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, supervising patient safety, Patient transport to varies destinations, and always presenting in an encouraging manner.
Schedule Day
(7am-3pm / 7am-7pm),
Evening (3pm-11pm),
Night (7pm-7am, 11pm-7a)
Rotational holiday and weekend schedule
