The Opportunity : Patient Care Assistant - The Emergency Department
The Emergency Department is a Level I Adult, Pediatric and Burn Trauma Center. It spans the ground floor of 3 buildings and is divided into several areas, including pediatric and psychiatric areas.
The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) will assist the RNs in the Emergency Department (ED) with a variety of functions including phlebotomy and EKGs, transport patients, check rooms and equipment, assist patients with dressing and feeding and some clerical functions. Our Patient Care Assistant team prides themselves in responding to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating in a respectful manner.
Schedule
- 3) 12-hour shifts
- Nights | 7 pm - 7 am
- 36 hours required each week
- Mandatory rotational holiday and weekend schedule
