Senior Medical Lab Scientist - Chemistry

The Senior Technologist in Chemistry :
- Reports to the Laboratory Supervisor of the section.
- Performs analytical tests on specimens to provide information to medical staff for diagnostic or interpretative purposes in a timely manner.
- Performs tests following established policies and procedures.
- Serves as a resource to other medical technologists.
- May perform waived and non-waived testing under general supervision.
- Works independently in an efficient and organized manner to assure accurate results and records.
The Senior Technologist is responsible for supervision of assigned workstations, including Quality Control (QC) review, training, competency assessment of staff, and inventory management.
