What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Worker, Inpatient Neurology position at Massachusetts General Hospital?
We are seeking a full-time clinical social worker to join the inpatient med/surg social work team to provide a range of clinical social work services as part of the multidisciplinary team on Neuroscience Floor
The ideal candidate will have acute care experience working with patients and families presenting with a wide array of complex medical and psychosocial concerns.
They will be proficient in conducting psychosocial assessments and experienced in crisis intervention, short-term counseling, loss and bereavement, trauma, and inter-professional collaboration.
Excellent clinical, communication, and documentation skills are a necessity.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Master's of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program required.
2. Require current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or must obtain MA Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within 4 months of hire date.
3. Acute care hospital experience preferred.
