Title: Philanthropy Associate
Position Overview:
The Philanthropy Associate will provide exceptional operational support and project management to advance our annual fundraising goal. The position involves donor portfolio and project management, prospect research, coordinating event logistics, and managing the Raiser’s Edge database. The ideal candidate is customer-centered, data-driven and highly organized with impeccable attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain Raiser’s Edge database and uphold data integrity; enter data, build and run reports, pull mailing lists, and create actions related to records to ensure effective donor engagement.
· Process donations through Raiser’s Edge and create timely, personalized acknowledgment letters.
· Manage portfolio of entry-level donors through annual giving appeals including mailing list management, personalization and segmentation of letters, and mail house coordination.
· Conduct research, track actions, and set reminders for donor follow-up.
· Track and manage guest lists, event invitation lists, email contact lists, solicitation lists, and other mailing lists.
· Create online giving and registration forms, ensuring they meet organizational requirements and security standards.
· Coordinate Philanthropy and Outreach event logistics, build and/or review event timelines, assist with program creation, and track guest information and follow-up.
· Provide administrative support as needed including preparation for meetings, taking minutes, and/or reserving event locations.
Requirements:
· Candidates will demonstrate knowledge equivalent to a bachelor’s degree which can be demonstrated in any way including formal qualifications or evidence of prior work
· Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in a fundraising department and Raiser’s Edge or similar software experience
· Proficiency in using a computer, including Microsoft Suite and Adobe, and talking on the phone.
· Willingness to learn and grow with our organization. Participatory work style, positive, and professional.
· Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
· Ability to work at a workstation and use a keyboard for extended periods.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally. Ability to work in office four - five days a week as needed.

Hours and Compensation:
· Full-time, non-exempt, 40 hours per week
· Occasional weekend availability in support of MHS events
· Salary range $56-70K/year; In modeling MHS's commitment to openness and transparency, starting salaries aren't typically at/near the top of this range. This is to create opportunities for team members to earn performance-based raises throughout their tenure in the role.
