FACILITIES COORDINATOR, Laboratory for Nuclear Science , reporting to the Administrator for HR, EHS, and Facilities, will oversee all facilities and safety-related issues for LNS; serve as client representative and liaison for all renovation and improvement projects; oversee safety and security; plan and oversee improvements in systems and acts as liaison to MIT’s Facilities; ensure efficient daily functioning of building systems and non-computer equipment; and oversee maintenance and upkeep of all LNS-occupied space.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; a minimum of three years of work experience in the area of building systems, facilities, construction and/or project management, preferably in a research/academic setting; ability to use computers and a solid foundation in Microsoft Office and database systems; experience working with contractors/architects/facilities professionals; valid driver’s license and the ability to lift 50 pounds; outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with a large and diverse population, including faculty, research, technical and administrative staff, students, Facilities staff, architects, and contractors; ability to manage multiple concurrent projects; excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a contributing team member; and demonstrated experience managing multiple stakeholder projects independently, from start to finish. PREFERRED: MIT Facilities experience; and experience with administrative systems, preferably Atlas, B2P, SAP. Job #24926-8
