TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE 1, VOS LAB, Biology , to join a research team studying the how gene expression and genome architecture are coupled; be part of a multi-national consortium that was recently funded to develop small molecule compounds to target proteins that are involved in the development and progression of pediatric cancers; conduct protein expression, protein purification, molecular cloning, cell culture work, and structure determination; assist with lab organization including reagent maintenance. The group uses biochemical and structural approaches including X-ray crystallography and cryo-EM to analyze how machines involved in gene expression and genome organization interact and regulate each other’s activity.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED : Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, genetics, biophysics, molecular biology or related field; and a minimum of two years working experience in a biochemistry/molecular biology laboratory (this may include experience gained as an undergraduate); PREFERRED : Experience with molecular cloning and cell culture; robust interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
