Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified faculty member to join our Emergency Management Department at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. The successful candidate will teach college-level courses, develop curriculum, and participate in academic committees.
Main Responsibilities:
- Teach 12 credits per semester of emergency management and homeland security courses.
- Develop and improve curriculum for the department.
- Participate in academic committees to support the department and academy.
- Pursue experiential learning programs within the Emergency Management Department.
- Advise students as an academic advisor.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Emergency Management or related field by Fall 2025.
- Ability to teach in areas such as terrorism, exercise design, emergency planning, and GIS.
- Demonstrated potential for teaching and advising at the college level.
- Excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional licenses/certifications in Emergency Management & National Security.
