What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Test Proctor position at Massachusetts Maritime Academy?
General Responsibilities
Please note this is a non-benefited, part-time (20 hours/week)
General Statement of Duties:
Academic Resources seeks two qualified proctors who will each work 20 hours/week between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Administer testing for students with accommodations for reduced distractions
- Schedule testing, receive and secure exams from faculty, return tests to faculty
- Liaise with Associate Dean of Academic Resources to discuss accommodations
- Enter data in Accudemia as needed
- Assist with Accuplacer placement testing (involves occasional Saturdays in spring)
- Participate in other projects as needed
Qualifications and Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college/university
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Detail oriented
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Ability to use Google Suite (Excel, Sheets, etc.) and general facility with technology
- Willingness and ability to learn Accudemia and other software programs
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with MMA and its mission
- Familiarity with academic accommodations in higher education
