About the Role:
The Regimental Affairs Officer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a regimented residence hall while fostering an environment of discipline, leadership development, and respect for academy traditions among approximately 200 cadets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to cadet housing, safety, and community standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of cadet rooms and provide constructive guidance to ensure compliance with uniform and room inspection standards.
- Participate in Sea Term as assigned—a 52-day training ship deployment—fulfilling responsibilities that mirror onshore duties.
- Serve in an on-call, overnight capacity, one night per week throughout the academic year, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to academy regulations.
- Enforce the academy's code of conduct policies with fairness and transparency, conducting company-level hearings and investigations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Two years of professional experience working with young adults, with priority given to candidates with experience working in a college/university environment.
- Ability to collaborate with a range of individuals, including professional staff, non-professional staff, and students.
- Must be able to participate in an overnight on-call rotation on campus, which may involve crisis response and intervention.
