Job Description
The Company Officer will serve as a key member of the Student Services team at Massachusetts Maritime Academy, responsible for providing support and guidance to our cadets as they navigate their academic and personal journeys. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and collaborative team and contribute to the development of our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a positive role model and leader among our students, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusivity
- Provide mentorship and guidance to cadets, helping them to develop essential life skills and achieve their academic and personal goals
- Oversee the daily operations of a regimented residence hall, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all residents
- Collaborate with other members of the Student Services team to develop and implement programs and initiatives that support the well-being and success of our cadets
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to collaborate with a range of individuals, including professional staff, non-professional staff, and students
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications
- Master's degree in student personnel, higher education, counseling, or a related field preferred
