Join our dynamic Equity Team as a Late-Stage Collections Representative! Our Collections Reps play a pivotal role in reshaping our approach to delinquent account recovery. The ideal candidate will be an expert in loan servicing and compliance with exceptional customer service and negotiation skills with 2 years of preferred experience.
100% on-site in Charlottesville, Virginia
Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Regularly engage with clients through professional and empathetic calls and emails, ensuring a consistent and constructive dialogue.
- Skillfully negotiate settlements and payment arrangements, aiming to exceed department targets.
- Utilize innovative technologies to successfully locate and engage with elusive debtors.
- Efficient prioritize accounts, focusing on urgency and recovery potential, to meet deadlines and maximize results.
- Conduct thorough legal research to inform and enhance collection strategies.
- Commit to strict compliance with all relevant collection laws and regulations.
- Adapt a range of additional tasks, demonstrating your flexibility in a face-paced, evolving environment.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma, equivalent education, or higher
- Previous experience servicing consumer loans; specifically in collections
- General understanding of loan servicing and collections principles
- Exceptional customer service and negotiation skills
- Effective communication skills (verbal & written) for various demographics
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and/or related software
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of late-stage collections experience
- Completion of college education (Associate's degree or higher)
- Understanding a basic accounting fundamentals
