Massanutten Resort is accepting applicants for the Data Analytics Manager role! The Data Analytics Manager is responsible for leading the data and analytics team on data collection, movement/pipelines, transformation, analysis, availability, and ensuring the alignment with The Resorts Companies, Inc.
Hybrid based at Massanutten Resort.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Partner with Project Managers to ensure data projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required specifications.
- Work with internal development team on database and procedure creation to support internal developed software.
- Work closely with Business Unit Data Analysts to ensure data points required for division reporting and dashboards are available and are up to date.
- Develop and implement the organization's data and analytics strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Define and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data architectures (data lakes, warehouses, ETL pipelines).
- Identify key performance metrics and assist with development of dashboards real-time business modeling.
- Assist with software projects including integrating databases, with internal written application by writing queries.
- Maintain all databases including addressing performance issues and maintaining updates to ensure application uptime and availability.
- Act as primary point of contact for data development related areas.
- Define project goals, and deliverables in collaboration with Business Stakeholders, CTO, and Project Manager.
- Recruit, mentor, project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Conduct regular performance review and provide constructive feedback.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Data Science or a related for (8 years' relevant experience acceptable in leu of a disagree.)
- 4-7 years' experience in data engineering or data science
- Hands-on experience with Python/SQL, data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and API integrations
- Proficiency with analytic tools (such as Tableau and Power BI)
- Experience with developing, leading and managing a team of data engineers and analysts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal positions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer science, Data Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
- Advanced certifications in data science, machine learning, or cloud computing.
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or other bid data platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying AI-driven applications to enhance business processes and decision-making.
- Prior experience in a similar leadership role within a technology-drive again.
