Masse's American Bistro is seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Fish Market team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service while ensuring the market operates efficiently and maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet customers, answer inquiries about seafood products, and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Product Handling: Clean, prepare, and package seafood items while adhering to safety and hygiene guidelines.
- Merchandising: Maintain an attractive, well-stocked display of seafood products, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Inventory Management: Assist with receiving deliveries, checking inventory for accuracy, and ensuring proper storage of products.
- Cleaning: Perform routine cleaning of equipment, workstations, and the market area to comply with health regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff to ensure smooth daily operations and an exceptional customer experience.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a seafood market, grocery store, or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of seafood handling, preparation, and storage techniques is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
