Job Summary
As a Project Engineer, you will support the Project Manager and oversee key aspects of project execution, from engineering development to sustainment. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing engineering projects, ensuring that all phases including design, quality assurance, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning are executed effectively and within budget to meet customer requirements.
Essential Functions

Coordinate all project elements including proposal, engineering design, quality planning, manufacturing, and procurement phases
Plan project requirements and resources, including the sourcing of subcontract elements, etc.
Refine the customer specifications into departmental tasks or subcontractor statements of work
Manage the project within budget and schedule
Produce deliverables on-time to customer requirements, clarifying these requirements where necessary
Participate in Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEAs), Quality history reviews, robustness studies, etc.
Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) processes
Assist with design verification and sign off reporting
React promptly and effectively to changing client and product needs
Anticipate and identify potential project risks and opportunities, establishing appropriate actions
Effectively analyze customer and internal changes, including feasibility studies, to accurately plan any changes in specifications for costing
Produce clear, focused and understandable explanations for change requests
Track customer changes and participate in customer meetings when required
Apply specific technical skills as required to support the customer or colleagues
Be willing and available to work at company and customer premises as required
Undertake special projects as required
Quality control of work by appropriate reviews
Support and lead process improvement activities
Write reports and present progress at project meetings and to clients
Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices / future trends
Plan projects or subtasks so they may be tracked and presented
Manage the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Attend various meetings and action / communicate instructions
Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
Independently determine approach and assigned tasks
Support engineers, technicians, procurement, and production as an individual contributor
Train people within own work group
Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers
Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
Position Qualifications
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
Experience and Skills
5-8 years of demonstrated mechanical, electrical, electronic or software product development.
Minimum of 3 additional years of proven Project Engineering / Project Management experience
Ability to read and comprehend mechanical, electrical, and fluid schematics
Advanced Microsoft user to include Project and Excel software
Experience in creating project plans in Microsoft Project
Experience in Bill of Material (BOM) structures
Education
BS or MS in Engineering field Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field
PMP certifications a plus.

Salary : $115,000 - $140,000
