Position Summary :
This position is primarily responsible for providing support, leadership and coaching to teams. This position is responsible for meeting production, quality, and company objectives. Communicates with project team leaders to ensure task completion by deadlines.
Key Responsibilities :
Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to assess feasibility studies, ensure cost justification, and identify process improvements.
Review production schedules, engineering specs, and process flows to optimize manufacturing and service methods.
Lead efforts to reduce costs and improve efficiency through value analysis and cost-effective designs, while maintaining quality standards.
Provide leadership across shifts, resolve problems promptly, and ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and procedures.
Mentor team members, manage employee safety and discipline, and collaborate with departments to meet production goals.
Must Have : Bachelor's degree
A minimum 5 yrs. supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience
Team membership and leader training
Strong problem-solving skills
Able to develop communication and leadership skills for self-improvement as well as team
improvements.
Must have exceptional communication skills and work well with others across all disciplines
Good to have :
Mechanical medical machining background preferred
Certification as a Green Belt or Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma preferred
