As a Compliance Analyst, you will work as part of a specialized team of lawyers and nonlawyers to respond to requests coming from our Policyowner Services and New Business Departments for review or assistance from the Legal Department. These requests generally involve applying legal standards to the facts of a particular transaction, approving or denying the transaction, or providing advice on what is needed to proceed.

Job Responsibilities
- Supports the administration of Compliance programs and in ensuring compliance the laws, regulations, and rules of federal, state, and self-regulatory organizations.
- Reviews requests from internal customers related to the issuance, administration, and surrender or claims processing for our products.
- Participates in creating forms and reports to comply with new or existing regulatory requirements.
- Prepares memorandums regarding the use of forms.
- Participates in the reporting of any non-compliance or suspected fraudulent acts.
- Participates in administering and enforcing company compliance guidelines.
- Participates with complaint responses.
- Refers more complex matters to appropriate staff, as needed.
- Participates in the review and distribution of new laws, regulations and other regulatory publications.
- Participates in maintaining and retrieving material from departmental systems and files.
- May participate in performing research.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of the organization and applicable laws and regulations in ensuring compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
- 2 to 4 years of annuity-related or probate paralegal experience.
- May have made progress toward an Associate Insurance Regulatory Compliance (AIRC) designation.
