Cash & Securities Management Consultant, Investment Operations Full-Time Springfield, MA, Boston, MA or New York, NY The Opportunity As a Cash & Securities Management Senior Consultant in our Investment Operations organization, you are responsible for transaction processing and oversight over the lifecycle of invested assets and their portfolios for the Company. This includes assisting in onboarding new managers and investment types, relationship management, customer support, calculation of forecast and funds available investing, general ledger balancing, reporting, reconciliations, payment validations, and complex transaction processing. The Team The Investment Operations team is agile and works independently, yet collaboratively. All members are held accountable and are encouraged to grow in the role via peer to peer training, education and industry participation. To be successful on this team, you must have a strong attention to detail, be able to multi-task, thrive in a fast-paced work environment, have strong interpersonal skills and have a continuous improvement mindset. The Impact As a Cash & Securities Management Senior Consultant, you will be a subject matter expert of back-office securities operations functions. You will maintain the lifecycle of the assets in accordance with established policies and procedures, which may include : Will assist in coordination, leading and representing Cash & Securities Management in complex long term focused projects involving multiple disciplines or business units. (examples- Target Operating Model, Metrics creation and enhancements, General Ledger upgrades) Works independently and with management on highly visible, divisional / cross-divisional complex projects Collaborates with various internal and external parties for investment management activities such as Eagle system release testing Sought as a key resource for resolution of unique or complex business problems related to Cash & Securities Advances the interest of the company by serving on teams that are external to the organization when appropriate such as the LOMA Investment Operations Committee Drives continuous improvement and efficiencies beyond own scope of responsibility by researching and analyzing investment data to define appropriate and meaningful metrics Makes valuable improvements to existing procedures and programs by creating efficiencies and understanding root cause The Minimum Qualifications 7 years working in the financial services sector in similar investment operations capacity The Ideal Qualifications Four-year Bachelors Degree preferred Experienced in back-office securities operations or similar (reconciliation of cash to receivables / payables) Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products (primarily Excel, PowerPoint) SAP experience Banking, Treasury, Investment experience Ability to problem solve and resolve issues independently, and know when to escalate appropriately Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong inter-personal skills to facilitate building positive working relationships Risk and controls awareness Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Recognition of patterns and trends in data operations and identify opportunities for improving processes and systems Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future What to Expect as Part of MassMutual and the Team Regular meetings with the Investment Operations team Focused one-on-one meetings with your manager Access to mentorship opportunities Networking opportunities including access to Asian, Hispanic / Latinx, African American, women, LGBTQIA, veteran and disability-focused Business Resource Groups Access to learning content on Degreed and other informational platforms Your ethics and integrity will be valued by a company with a strong and stable ethical business with industry leading pay and benefits LI-MM1 MassMutual is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer Minority / Female / Sexual Orientation / Gender Identity / Individual with Disability / Protected Veteran.
