The Opportunity
As an Investment Operations Consultant in our Investment Operations organization, you will be responsible for identifying business requirements in preparation of the on-boarding of new investments. You will collaborate with counterparts across Accounting, Policy, Legal, Compliance, Reporting, and Operations to ensure requirements are clearly understood and documented. You will be responsible for monitoring the on-going transactional data and information flow of the investments post-close to ensure that required data and transactions are provided timely, accurately and are aligned to our Investment Manager’s records.
The Team
The Investment Operations team supports the on-boarding administration of our direct General Account investments. The portfolio is unique and complex and offers candidates exposure to various investment teams and asset classes. The team is agile and works independently, yet collaboratively. All members are held accountable and are encouraged to grow in the role via education and industry participation . To be successful on this team, you must have a strong diligence, be able to multi-task, thrive in a fast-paced work environment, have strong interpersonal skills and have a continuous improvement mindset.
The Impact
The primary responsibility of the Investment Operations Consultant will be to learn the unique structure of each transaction, leverage financial and accounting acumen to determine and share requirements with cross-functional business partners, and present them to the manager or sponsor of the investment. This role will be accountable for partnering with the manager or sponsor to ensure requirements are met and will be responsible for the escalation of any gaps, which may impact closing, on-going transactional activity, reconciliations, compliance monitoring and oversight. In addition, this role will partner with external service providers in understanding complex investment structures while ensuring that we minimize operational risk and optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8 years of relevant investment, investment operations / support experience
