Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting a variety of accounting functions including month-end close, reconciliations, cash management, and assisting with tax and audit requirements. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ad hoc requests
- Support the Accounting Manager with the coordination of audit activities, providing required documentation and ensuring timely completion
- Perform account reconciliations (bank accounts, general ledger accounts) to ensure accuracy
- Assist in processing payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment of employees while maintaining compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations
- Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies
- Collaborate with external tax advisors on quarterly and year-end tax compliance requirements
- Support the implementation of on-going process improvement initiatives
- Ad hoc projects: Support the Accounting Manager with additional tasks and special projects as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within a corporate finance team
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; SAP experience preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
