What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fiber Installation Technician position at MasTec Advanced Technologies?
MasTec Advanced Technologies is seeking Fiber Installation Technicians to install, repair, and maintain fiber optic broadband services for residential and occasional commercial customers. Technicians will perform duties in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Responsibilities :
Install, splice, repair, and terminate fiber-optic cables and connectors.
Maintain records of installations, repairs, and equipment used.
Generate accurate reports on work completed and network configurations.
Provide exceptional customer service and ensure satisfaction.
Follow safety protocols in a safety-sensitive role.
Qualifications :
Ability to lift 60-80 pounds and climb 28-36 foot ladders.
Ability to work independently and multi-task.
Experience in fiber optic cable installation.
Flexible schedule, including weekends or evenings.
Prior customer service experience is a plus.
Valid driver’s license required.
Must pass pre-employment drug test, criminal background check, and MVR check.
Pay :
22 - $24 per hour, with paid training, medical, dental, and vision benefits.
