Fiber Installation Technician

MasTec Advanced Technologies is a preferred contractor for several major companies nationwide, and we are currently looking for Fiber Installation Technicians to join our growing team! As a Fiber Technician, you will provide high-speed cable TV, phone, and internet installation services to residential and occasionally commercial customers in the area. What do our Fiber Technicians do?
As a Fiber Technician, you will be responsible for performing installations, repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance on fiber optic broadband equipment and services. This includes working with both new and existing infrastructure, splicing fiber cables, and integrating them into the network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, splice, repair, and terminate fiber-optic cables and connectors in both indoor and outdoor settings
• Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, and equipment used
• Generate accurate reports on work completed and document network configurations
• Provide the highest quality of service to ensure superior customer satisfaction
• Demonstrate personal ethics, initiative, flexibility, and responsibility in your work

What We Require:

• Ability to lift 60-80 pounds and climb ladders (28-36 feet)
• Valid driver’s license
• Must pass pre-employment drug test, criminal background check, and MVR (driving record) check
• Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as required
