Responsibilities
As a Coax Splicer Foreman, you will have the chance to develop your management and leadership skills as you lead a team of Coax Splicers who produce high-quality work while using specialized skills in splicing, and activations, testing, troubleshooting, and more to make a difference. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you’re up for the challenge.
In addition, you will:
- Give direction to multiple crews and their job site activities
- Develop your team’s skillset and knowledge of telecom construction
- Provide a high level of customer service when interfacing with customers
- Lead by example and support the company-wide safety culture
- Drive your team to meet deadlines and produce quality projects
- Splice, sweep and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable
- Manage all aspects of jobsite construction
- Train your crew on various kinds of tools and equipment
- Optimize new Nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity
- Utilize RF Meters and TDR (time-domain reflectometers)
- Read CATV telecommunication design and prints
- Work in outdoor utility construction sites
Qualifications
About You:
- Safety is a value you live by
- You have 3 years of splicing and sweeping
- Embrace the challenge of coaching and mentoring your team
- You are comfortable working on ladder or bucket truck
- You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
- You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality
- You are flexible and enjoy a variety of shifts with overtime
