We are looking for a Operations Analyst to join our team. This is a Hybrid (Bay Area, Brentwood). New Hire Training will be all onsite.

The Operations Analyst will play a critical role in supporting operational efficiency and financial performance.
This individual will be responsible for analyzing data related to field operations, construction projects, and financial performance, while providing actionable insights to improve decision-making. The position requires strong analytical, financial, and operational acumen.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze operational data related to electric distribution systems, field operations, and construction projects.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize operations and resource allocation.
- Track and analyze operational budgets, project costs, and capital expenditures.
- Perform variance analysis to compare budgeted and actual costs, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Partner with finance teams to forecast operational expenses and develop cost-saving strategies.
- Monitor work order costs and ensure accurate job cost tracking for construction and maintenance activities.
- Assist in the revenue recognition process by validating cost data and ensuring accurate job completion reporting.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate financial postings in ERP systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements for operations, financial tracking, and project management.
- Conduct root cause analysis for operational and financial variances, recommending corrective actions.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for financial and operational workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle JD Edwards, SAP, or similar).
- Strong proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with cost tracking, budget analysis, and financial reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to present findings and recommendations clearly.
