Job Summary
The Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of Diesel and gas powered commercial vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment. This position supports the Construction team and works with personnel within the department.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and repair company equipment, such as pickup trucks, trailers, bucket trucks, diggers, and forklift.
- Perform road tests and operational checks of vehicles and equipment to ensure quality of repairs and service.
- Place orders for required parts, materials, and supplies, as required.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports.
- Monitor prioritized projects, activities, and assignments to ensure completion of deadlines.
- Maintain tools, supplies, and workstations in a clean, safe and presentable manner.
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid CDL class A driver’s license.
- Must have 5 years of Diesel engine repair experience.
- Knowledge of vehicle and equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics.
- Must be able to work safely under guidelines and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10 or more years of experience.
- Heavy Equipment repair knowledge.
