Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Vacuum Truck Driver operates vacuum units and associated equipment in a safe, responsible, and professional manner, follows and complies with all state laws, company policies and procedures. This position ensures proper load securement of any hoses, or other equipment. This position is responsible for transporting, loading, and offloading of fluids at different locations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Operates vacuum units and associated equipment in a safe, responsible, and professional manner.
  • Follows and complies with all state laws, company policies, and procedures.
  • Participates in all pre-job hazard assessments and inspections prior to commencing any job.
  • Ensures proper load securement of any hoses and other equipment.
  • Responsible for transporting, loading, and offloading of fluids at different locations.
  • Completes all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Completes job tasks with personal and public safety as the top priority.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Valid Class A CDL.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of relevant driving experience.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This job operates in a field environment. This role routinely requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, lifting in awkward positions, standing, and twisting. Also, working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is physically active, with lifting required. Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more or 20 inches or less, with the ability to judge distance and space relationships. Precise hand-eye coordination. Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
