Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all vessels meet required quality standards and specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of all incoming materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of products and materials using various measuring tools and equipment.
- Document and report any non-conformances or quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inspections and quality control activities.
- Ensure that all equipment and tools used for inspections are properly calibrated and maintained.
- Provide training and guidance to production teams on quality control procedures and processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in quality control or inspection in a manufacturing or ship yard environment required.
- Prior welding experience highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quality control procedures and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in the use of measuring tools and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and document quality issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to work in a shipyard environment, including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Work is primarily performed in an open air shipyard environment with exposure to various weather conditions, noise, and potentially hazardous materials.
· Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
