Master Center for Addiction Medicine is a private, outpatient addiction medicine treatment center based in Richmond, Virginia. We have recently opened additional offices and we are looking for talented individuals to join our team in Gloucester! Our approach to addiction is comprehensive, evidence-based and individualized drawing on every tool that has been proven effective: medical treatment, education, psychiatry, professional counseling, testing/monitoring and peer support services. We are seeking a Front Desk Patient Services Representative Teal Lead for the Master Center for Addiction Medicine Gloucester office.
Essential Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
The Patient Services Representative Teal Lead is responsible to perform the following:
- Responds to inbound calls, voicemails, and other contacts from patients and their representatives
- Schedules patient encounters based on provider appointment availability, follow-up needs, insurance participation, and appointment type
- Patient check-in and check-out procedures, and appointment confirmation
- Reviews and ensures that all applicable patient forms and notifications are delivered and signed
- Collects patient insurance cards, patient Identification, and scans documents to the patient account
- Completes Insurance eligibility verification, and communicates patient liability estimates and costs for services
- Responsible for the collection of patient liability amounts and account balance amounts
- Provides excellent customer service to patients, their families, and representatives at all times
- Maintains HIPAA Compliance by protecting Patient Health Information
- Maintains knowledgeable of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to office operations
- Assists the Front Desk Manager with implementing new processes to improve efficiency
- Assists the Front Desk Manager with conducting Quality Assurance audits
- Communicates relevant information to the appropriate Master Center department
- Interacts in a professional manner and works collaboratively with Master Center staff and patients, and ensures that all team members provide excellent customer service and represents Master Center in a positive and professional manner at all times
- Follows Master Center policies and procedures
- Special Projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $16.50 to $18.50 an hour
