Can you please confirm the 3 main responsibilities/day-to-day activities required for this role?
- Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates FPGA blocks for electronic equipment, or other hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications.
- Determines design approaches and parameters.
- Simulates and verifies FPGA designs to ensure proper functionality.
What products (if any) will this role support? Symplicity G4 renal denervation RF generator
Will the contingent worker be working remotely or onsite, or both (if both, please confirm possible schedule)? Both would prefer somebody primarily onsite with some flexibility to work from home.
Required: Experience designing Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), digital design of Integrated Circuits (IC), or Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC).
Preferred:
- Strong preference for individuals familiar with AMD/Xilinx Zynq FPGAs including Vivado toolset.
- For individuals with experience implementing video subsystems in a FPGA design.
- Experience with simulation to support verification of above applications, including Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) and constrained random techniques.
- Familiarity with requirements driven safety critical government regulated industries such as medical or aerospace / defense.
Other nice to haves:
- Experience with digital design implementation including synthesis, timing, placement, routing, and power analysis.

- Determines design approaches and parameters.
- Simulates and verifies FPGA designs to ensure proper functionality.
- Supports implementation of FPGA designs including synthesis, timing, placement, routing, and power analysis.
- Analyzes design to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.
- Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
- May also review vendor capability to support product development.
