General Summary
Telecom Laborer performs tasks involving physical labor. This role supports Broadband projects in our Telecom Construction Division. A Telecom laborer will handle projects of various complexities and perform site work.
Essential Functions
- Installation of Underground Cable Placement, Trenching, and Plowing.
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in construction projects; perform manual work in a variety of construction projects.
- Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
- Material handling and storage.
- Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Foreman, Safety Director or HR Manager.
- Knowledge of drilling equipment procedures while in the vicinity of existing utilities, verifying and proofing existing conduit systems, trenching in the street and landscape areas with manual and mechanized equipment.
- Duties may also include setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and flagging traffic by holding stop and slow signs.

Education, Training and Experience
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent, one (1) year relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.
Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and/or alcohol testing.
