The hiring range for this position is $20.00 to $24.00 $2.00 Night Shift Differential! Dependent on experience.
The Machine Operator position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a wide variety of production equipment.
Key responsibilities include producing high quality work according to work instructions, meeting daily production schedules, demonstrating strong knowledge of production processes, preventative equipment maintenance, plant organization, safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
While working a variety of machines like brake press, miter saw, drill press, Amada Turret Punch Press, Noch Press, Sheer
Quality of Work
• Accurately interprets work orders to select the correct materials and perform equipment set-up
• Performs first piece and random inspections of completed work according to Company quality standards
• Proactively identifies defects or equipment issues to minimize scrap materials and rework of parts
Work Schedules
• Completes all assigned tasks according to work order estimates and their daily production schedule
• Identifies the most efficient way to safely complete their scheduled assignments
• Displays reliable attendance and schedules time-off with advance notice
Production Knowledge
• Skilled at all aspects of operating their equipment, including advanced set-up, equipment programming and efficiently transitioning between orders
• Takes good care of the equipment under their responsibility and performs preventative maintenance according to schedule
• Cross trained to skillfully operate a variety of production equipment, cranes and forklifts
Regulations & Safety
• Always correctly uses the proper personal protective equipment
• Maintains safe work habits and performs required safety inspections according to Company safety procedures
• Aware of their surroundings and avoids potential hazards or dangerous situations
Organization
• Maintains a clean/organized work area and promptly removes scrap materials
• Organizes all tools, fixtures and equipment so they are easily accessible
• Correctly attaches identifying work orders with the associated completed parts
Process Improvements
• Identifies and suggests ways for the Company to improve the efficiency and quality of production
• Effectively assists with implementing and supporting improvements to production processes
Qualifications
2 years of experienced preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints and/or engineering drawings required.
• Ability to use tape measure required.
• Experience with hand tools in a manufacturing environment required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening is required.
• Random drug testing required after employment.
Salary : $22 - $24
