Summary Position Description:
East Side Health District is seeking a leader with the passion and experience required to lead a team already dedicated to infectious disease identification, management, treatment and prevention.
Typical Duties:
* Plans, supervises, coordinates, and manages overall work activities of all assigned employees.
* Identifies barriers to effective program outcomes and works with Division Director on
developing strategies toward reducing or eliminating them.
* Establishes routine program outcome indicators are in place and reviewed on an ongoing basis.
* Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely completion of disease investigations.
Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely documentation of partner/provider services’
activities.
* Responsible for recognizing disease trends that may indicate an emerging public health crisis.
*Recommends plans for achieving investigation and partners’ goals and objectives.
* Provides technical assistance to STD/HIV/AIDS community based organizations.
* Monitors disease trends in conjunction with the epidemiologist and develops strategies for
intervention activities.
*Coordinates and facilitates training of new Communicable Disease Investigators (CDIs).

A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health or Health Sciences, Health Education, one of the Behavioral Sciences, Public Administration, or Education three (3) years experience in health program planning, development, implementation, and evaluation an equivalent seven (7) year combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred candidates will also have:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge and experience with infectious disease (HIV, STDs, viral hepatitis) prevention
Demonstrated skill applying best practices and standards for health communication, page layout, and information design.
Experience in contract and grant management, budgeting, and accounting
The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external partners
Computer skills,
Knowledge of and experience with federal, local, and state policies
Salary : $60,000 - $74,999
