General:
- Under general supervision, perform skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic systems, wiring, fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment; and perform related work as required. Preferred to have a Safety & Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) with 2-3 years of experience
Internal: Working at multiple locations of plant, Warehouse & Offices
External: Interface with contractors and vendors
Requirements:
Performs any combination of (but not limited to) the following duties according to specific to job description:
- Read/interpret electric drawings and manuals to install, calibrate and maintain electrical apparatus. Work from complex electric controls and manufacturers drawings or manuals to complete assigned work.
- Install electrical conduit, pull and terminate wiring.
- Ability to use electrical/electronic testing equipment to such as multi-meters, ammeters, megohm meters, high potential testers, oscilloscopes, digital probes to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Use hand and power tools related to the electrical trades.
- Install and maintain control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, and control panels.
- Preferred experience considered plus - working with variable frequency drives, soft starters, eddy current, and DC drives,
- Repair or replace faulty electrical equipment, including electronic controls, meters, outlets, and panels.
- Effectively communicate problems and solutions to resolve electrical problems.
- Supervise and participate in the on-the-job training of Utility Maintenance Person as needed.
- Preferred knowledge of and use the required personal protective equipment to protect against arc flash and shock hazard
- Preferred experience in computerized management system to work with workorder system etc.
- Familiar with NEC codes, OHSA and NFPA70E will be considered
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Graduation from high school, or general education with electric apprenticeship - preferred
- Ability to successfully complete proficiency testing in mathematics, reading, writing, maintenance skills and other related subjects.
