Maintenance Supervisor

Description

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, including installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment as well as other repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and building systems.  

Essential Duties:

• Organize and oversee the schedules and work of maintenance staff
• Responsible for timely hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, and disciplining maintenance technicians
• Responsible for assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activity
• Coordinate with internal teams regarding their maintenance needs
• Prioritize effectively to minimize operational disruptions given established equipment importance and current production circumstances
• Possess strong industry knowledge and research abilities
• Ensure effective and constructive communication and productive cooperation within the maintenance department as well as interdepartmentally
• Inventory management of chemicals, parts, supplies, and tools
• Responsibly handle emergency situations and/or after-hours calls for repair and maintenance
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
• Participate in walk-throughs, meetings, audits, and tours with government agencies and customers
• Investigate complaints within the Maintenance Department
• Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures
• Display a professional attitude
• Attend all applicable meetings and trainings
• Perform other tasks as directed by the department manager
• Enforce and comply with all of Elite Spice’s policies, procedures, general safety laws and regulations, food safety guidelines, and Good Manufacturing Practices

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory experience
• Prior knowledge of food manufacturing processes
• Ability to read technical manuals and engineering drawings and schematics
• Ability to use common and specialized maintenance tools efficiently
• Ability to be organized and follow up on tasks
• Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner
• Possess interpersonal skills, leadership skills, problem-solving skills, and time management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong organization and documentation skills
• Ability to work in a team setting and independently
• Proficient with Microsoft word, excel, and outlook

Salary : $68,000 - $72,800
