Job Type:
- Full time - 45 - 50 hours per week
- Work Location: 10840 Mankato St. NE Blaine, MN 55449
Schedule:
- Monday - Thursday (6:00 am - 4:30 pm) - OT as required on Fridays
Pay Range: $25 - $40 per hour based on experience

What to expect:
- As a CNC Machinist at Master Machine you can expect to machine complex parts. We are growing and looking for team players to help with our Aerospace and Department of Defense Industries.
CNC Machinist Responsibilities:
- Must have strong set up skills.
- Ideally have experience programming and setting up machines with live tooling
- Lead, mentor, coach.
- be mindful of run rates and deadlines.
- troubleshoot machines, and parts, programs as needed.
- Revise programs to eliminate instruction errors or omissions.
- Creates standard drawings, and creation of complex drawings, which involve dimensions, tolerance, intricate details, auxiliary views and projections from sketches, layouts, or engineering data as required. (Helpful)
- May assist in the preparation of bills of material, engineering change orders, and other documentation.
- Perform set-ups, runs, and checking first part and in many cases finish production run
- Creates CAD/CAM databases, CAD models, and CAM process models.
- Creates CNC programs for multitasking mill-turn machine tools and provides some technical support to manufacturing personnel.
- Under limited supervision, must be able to do first-time-run-through on his or her programs in an accurate and timely manner to
- Ensure proper documentation and setup information for repeat runs.
- Perform complex set-ups and various machining operations as required.
- Experience with close tolerance precision machining.
CNC Machinist Qualifications:
- Extensive turning experience
- Degree from a 2-year technical school or skill equivalent (preferred)
- Must have strong Turning experience with setting up machines
- Blueprint reading
- Programming knowledge, set-ups, and operate
- Experience working with quotes helpful, not required.
- Working experience and familiarity with Makino machines (Highly preferred) among other common brands ( Haas ST20 / SMEC SL2000 / Nakamura – Tome AS-200L) to name a few
- GD&T Knowledge
- Experience on CAD/CAM and machining centers w/ Fanuc controls.
- Ability to operate vertical or horizontal mills along with Lathe’s (preferred).
- Ability to complete other duties as assigned
- Maintain high awareness of safety procedures.
- Maintain a work area in a safe, neat, and orderly manner.
Work Environment Details:
Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted frequently; ability to work at a fast pace; keep workspace clean; visually inspect products; stand for 10 hours at a time with minimal breaks; English language proficiency; kneel, squat, and crawl on knees; work in positions with the ability to reach, squat, twist, and forward motion and rotation of the neck; use of hand tools; use of fine motor skills; work in a tight space; work in a group setting; work at multiple heights; work in an environment that is frequently changing temperatures; climb on ladder or step stool.
