What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manual Milling Machinist position at Master Machining, Inc.?
We are looking for an experienced Manual Milling machinist to join our team. Being in business for 40 years, we want nothing but our best to leave the facility. After one full year of service we offer 40 hours paid vacation as well as a 401K that is matched.
Compensation $26-$40.00 an hour depending on experience.
Duties to include but not limited to:
set-up and run various machine tools on a manual mill
Ensure all parts produced meet specs of print using proper measurement tools
Ability to work within very close tolerances
Read and follow drawings & job tickets
Perform routine machine maintenance
Load and indicate part to fixture
Monitor tool wear, load tools and inserts as required
Required knowledge, skills and abilities
Candidate will posses strong communication skills
Have excellent work ethic; working overtime and Saturdays if the need arises
Have the ability to stand for long hours while working in a fast-paced environment, and meet time deadlines
Must be able to read and understand drawings and handle measuring equipment
MUST have knowledge of manual milling machines
Experience
3-5 constant years as a manual milling machinist
Experience handling large, heavy parts as well as smaller components
