Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Utilize Montessori methods and other educational approaches to enhance children's learning experiences.
- Foster positive relationships with children, promoting their social skills and emotional well-being.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, employing behavior management techniques as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and classroom activities.
- Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to support their growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with diverse needs, including those on the autism spectrum or with other disabilities.
Requirements
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with Montessori teaching methods is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics and implement effective behavior management strategies.
