The Master Power Transmission (MPT) team is looking for a highly motivated and strategic Engineering Manager who will oversee the day-to-day quality activities of the Columbus manufacturing facility including the direct management of 4 Manufacturing Engineers.
Essential Functions
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing engineering functions including designing, optimizing, and
implementing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high quality standards, and cost-effectiveness,
while leading a team of engineers to achieve operation excellence and a meet business goals.
Process Design and Optimization
- Develop, review, and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products, including assembly
methods, tooling selection, and workflow optimization to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
Project Management
Lead engineering projects from conception to implementation, including setting project timelines, managingbudgets, and allocating resources to ensure successful completion.
Team LeadershipSupervise a team of manufacturing engineers, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, anddevelopment opportunities.
Quality Assurance
Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to quality standards, identify and address quality issues, andimplement corrective actions.
Cost Control
Analyze production costs, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and implement cost-saving measures.Data Analysis
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, cycle time, scrap rates, and yield, anduse data to identify areas for improvement.
Collaboration with Stakeholders
Work closely with other departments including R&D, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure smoothproduct transition from design to manufacturing.
Continuous Improvement
Champion lean manufacturing principles and drive initiatives to improve overall production efficiency, reducelead times and eliminate waste.
Equipment Management
Oversee the maintenance and upgrade of manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance andreliability.
