Job Summary :
The Production Manager (PM) oversees manufacturing operations and is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to production supervisors, team leads, and hourly employees. The PM communicates objectives, drives results with impact, and is a safety champion, collaborating with cross-functional teams in sales, supply chain, safety, and quality assurance. The Production Manager aligns their leadership style with Master’s core values of relentlessly pursuing excellence, operating with high integrity, communicating with a positive attitude, and being innovative and solution oriented.
Essential Functions :
Directs and oversees assigned area(s) of production, ensuring alignment with Master’s goals and objectivesUtilizes Lean manufacturing methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase production and reduce costsCollaborates effectively with various departments such as Supply Chain, Maintenance, Engineering, Safety, and Quality to achieve operational excellenceExercises good judgment in the utilization of labor, work in progress, and operational adjustmentsTracks and manages KPIs – drives alignment and integration of processes to deliver consistent resultsSupports financial stewardship for the facility, including cost management across the facilityProvides recommendations for annual and long-term capital improvements, as well as the Plant Operating Budget. Collaborates with the Plant Leadership Team to allocate resources effectively and prioritize investments that support operational goalsExecutes plant labor strategy, focusing on talent acquisition, development, and retention strategiesDevelops and maintains strong working relationships with all employeesEnsures the facility focuses on a positive employee experience, including prompt communication, accurate information, and consistent deliveryCommunicates expectations, measures, and assesses employee performance, and provides coaching and development opportunitiesDrives initiatives to enhance employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion within the plantSupervisory Responsibility :

BS / BA Degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment3 years of progressive management experience managing multiple levels with well-developed verbal and written communication skillsProven success in building and retaining high-performing teams and provides effective coaching for individual developmentStrong ability to manage operational topics and challenges while aligning with business objectivesAnalytical thinker who can translate strategies into operation objectives with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple goalsAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsUtilization of MRP / ERP software and applications for capacity and resource planningLean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt or similar TPS ExperienceExperience in leading or participating in 5S and Kaizen initiatives within a team or organizational settingISO 9000 / 9001 ExperienceThorough knowledge of OSHA and regulatory requirementsSelf-motivated leader possessing excellent teamwork and ability to collaborate effectively with people in each department and at every level within the organizationKnowledge of General Accounting Principles and effective accounting controlsProficient in the use of MS OfficePreferred Education / Experience / Certifications :
Master’s Degree in Business or Engineering or 15 years of relevant work experienceManufacturing experience within the commercial vehicle / bus industryProficient in the use of Sage, SAP, Oracle, or Syteline MRP / ERP softwareLean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferredExpert in 5S methodology with demonstrated experience in organizing and maintaining a clean, efficient workplaceExpert in Kaizen principles and practice, including the ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement effective solutionsProficient in an ISO 9001 : 2015 environmentBilingual : English / SpanishTravel Requirements : Less than 5%

Salary : $95,000 - $135,000
