Job Title: Business Analyst
Agency: State of Michigan Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC)
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid 2 days onsite per week)
Interview Process: In-person only
Work Schedule: Hybrid Onsite Wednesdays (mandatory) one additional day per week
Notes:
- Local candidates strongly preferred non-local candidates must relocate at their own expense.
- Hybrid work must be onsite Wednesdays 1 flexible day per week (No remote-only option).
- Professional References Required Three professional references must be included with submission.
- Parking costs are not reimbursed candidates must cover their own expenses.
- Travel Requirements: Candidate must have reliable transportation for commuting to Lansing-area offices and potential statewide travel. The State of Michigan will not reimburse mileage.
- Security Clearance: MDOC requires a LEIN background check before onboarding.
Job Description:
- Coordinate and lead data cleansing and migration efforts for enterprise software implementation.
- Develop data migration strategies, data flow diagrams, entity relationship models, and data dictionaries.
- Communicate complex data structures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work closely with MDOC, Agency Services, and DTMB teams to ensure accurate data transfer.
- Track all tasks in Azure DevOps and manage documentation.
- Identify and mitigate data migration risks and assist in resolving project issues.
- Ensure compliance with State of Michigan SUITE methodology and industry best practices.
- Participate in requirement validation, requirement traceability matrices, and test plans.
