Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Senior Data Engineer for a critical engagement with one of our esteemed clients. This role will focus on the design, development, and execution of data migration and integration processes related to Customer Master Data, leveraging SQL Server, SSIS, Informatica, and Python.
Ideal candidates will have recent, real-world experience with ERP data migration (Oracle or SAP) in large enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute customer master data conversion initiatives using SSIS and SQL Server.
- Design and implement real-time synchronization processes between legacy systems and new ERP platforms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand customer hierarchies, account structures, and related data models.
- Develop and optimize ETL workflows in SSIS and Informatica, ensuring performance and reliability.
- Create and maintain data integration programs within SQL Server, Informatica, and Python.
- Provide expertise in customer data migration between ERP systems, with preference for backgrounds in construction, roofing, or similar industries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ETL production issues independently and effectively.
- Work in an open tool environment with virtual access to systems and platforms.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 6-7 years of hands-on experience in customer master data migration, including at least 2 major migration projects in the past 3-4 years.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and how customer master data is structured and integrated (Oracle or SAP).
- Extensive experience with SSIS, SQL Server, and T-SQL.
- Proven ability to design and implement ETL solutions for large datasets and bulk data processing.
- Proficiency with Python, especially for data integration and API consumption.
- Familiarity with tools such as Informatica and Azure Data Factory is a plus.
- Ability to perform comprehensive source-to-target mapping and apply data profiling techniques to ensure quality.
