Job Details
Work Location: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite in Lansing, MI) (Must be local within 90 minutes of Lansing, MI)
Interview: MS Teams Top Required Skills and Experience:

10 years in Linux system administration (Ubuntu, CLI, security, networking)

10 years scripting in Bash & Python, with pipeline automation (e.g., Nextflow)

10 years experience with Slurm workload manager (installation, config, job troubleshooting)

10 years managing clusters and storage, including NAS (Qumulo), rsync, and mount strategies

Manage and maintain HPC infrastructure including cluster, storage, and workload scheduling (SLURM).

Perform Linux system administration including installation, configuration, and package/library support.

Implement and support data management, SAN/NAS storage, virtualization, and backup/recovery infrastructure.

Provide security, disaster recovery, and continuity planning for storage and compute systems.

Configure and support Mellanox switches and NAS clusters.

Administer databases including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle.

Support cloud systems (compute engines, storage buckets) and CI/CD pipelines.

Assist users and labs in utilizing computing and storage resources efficiently.

Perform configuration management using Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
-
Conduct performance monitoring, issue resolution, and log analysis (e.g., IIS, Dynatrace).

Contribute to failover setup, DR plans/testing, and application junction configuration reviews.
