This role will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting decision-making processes across our locations in Indiana, Arizona, and California. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and dashboards to provide insights into operational performance.
- Maintain and manage general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, working with plant leadership to analyze financial data.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to help drive financial efficiency.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial forecasts.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process vendor invoices, payments, and employee expense reports, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Monitor accounts receivable and assist in collections efforts as needed.
- Work closely with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies.
Inventory & Cost Control:
- Support inventory management and cost accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct cost analysis for products and manufacturing processes to improve financial efficiency.
- Assist in the review and reconciliation of cycle counts and inventory adjustments.
Compliance & Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
- Assist in internal audits and external financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Maintain proper internal controls to mitigate financial risks and enhance operational efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with operations, purchasing, and leadership teams to improve financial processes.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for key business initiatives.
- Assist in special projects, including process improvements and system enhancements.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is highly preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling.
- Ability to analyze financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience with job costing, sales tax, and business insurance is a plus.
