Job Description
The Director, Sales Home Depot, is a leadership role reporting directly to the Vice President, National Accounts Home Depot. This position will support all activities related to sales and relationship growth for our stock bath programs at The Home Depot (THD) USA and THD Mexico. This position will be responsible for developing and executing “go to market” strategies within the Commercial Home Center Retail channel. This includes strategy development, presentation creation, analysis, forecasting, and tactical preparation related to customer programs, meetings, calls, and events.
This is a hybrid position that will require the candidate to work from our Atlanta Regional Office: 4600 Highlands Parkway SE Smyrna GA 30082
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies, programs, and plans that will maximize MasterBrand revenue and profitability.
- Identify opportunities from within the existing MasterBrand line that will achieve the "best practice" scenario and recommended additions that will result in market share gains.
- Build and closely manage relationships at the Merchant level and beyond, to create and enhance the partnership across the bath business in THD USA and THD Mexico.
- Build and closely manage relationships and develop strategies with The Home Depot Brand Advocate and Orange Apron Marketing teams.
- Assist in development of annual budgets, profitability and sales action plans; monitor results vs. plan throughout the year, adjusting strategy when appropriate.
- Assist in accurate and timely forecasting through working with our Forecasting/Demand Planning partners.
- Learn the business, execute our strategies and partner with the Home Depot on their objectives, needs, and strategies to create win-win solutions. Utilize this expertise to build the MasterBrand business within the channel.
- Learn and utilize Category Management and Fact-Based Selling concepts to strengthen existing business and gain new opportunities.
- Build and deliver internal MasterBrand and external The Home Depot presentations.
- Identify and communicate retail service requirements based on changing market conditions to meet account service and sales goals.
- Work closely with and provide guidance to the MasterBrand Field team to properly support the program in The Home Depot Environment.
- Develop and manage account-specific omni-channel promotional plan, coordinating with finance, marketing and sales management to align with brand strategies and advertising plans as appropriate.
- Develop and manage THD Mexico direct report(s).
Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required.
- A minimum of 7 years plus years of experience in the building products industry with a marketing and/or sales background.
- 2 plus years of working with The Home Depot account recommended.
- 2 plus years of managing direct reports.
- Possess or obtain intimate knowledge of industry products, services, distribution, customers, and competitors.
- Background or experience with lean tools is recommended.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) required.
- Ability to travel as business needs require, estimated 30-50% (domestic & internationally).
