Job Description
The Environmental Manager plays a critical role in ensuring environmental compliance and advancing sustainability initiatives at our Grants Pass manufacturing facility. As a key member of the plant leadership team, this individual will lead regulatory compliance efforts, drive continuous improvement in environmental performance, and contribute to company-wide environmental programs. This role will also support corporate audits and strategic initiatives, championing our commitment to environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the facility lead for all environmental compliance activities, including:
- Title V Air Permit: management, reporting, and renewals
- Clean Air Oregon (CAO): toxics reporting
- RCRA: hazardous waste compliance for a Large Quantity Generator (LQG)
- TRI Form R and EPCRA reporting
- 1200-Z Stormwater Permit: compliance and reporting
- SPCC: plan compliance and management
- DOT Hazmat and IATA: Dangerous Goods shipping compliance
- Lead recycling and sustainability initiatives, identifying new opportunities to reduce waste and improve environmental performance.
- Track and report environmental and ESG metrics, ensuring accurate data entry into tracking systems.
- Manage and deliver site-wide environmental compliance training programs.
- Partner with operations to implement best practices and corrective actions related to waste stream management, cost control, and pollution prevention.
- Conduct and lead regulatory and internal audits (e.g., DEQ, air, water, and hazardous waste).
- Stay current with evolving environmental laws and regulations, ensuring site alignment and compliance.
- Drive the implementation of corporate environmental strategy, policies, and goals, including greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction and other ESG initiatives.
- Own and maintain certification for third-party Sustainable Cabinet Program.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
- 5 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
- 5 years managing a Title V Air Permit program
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Proven ability to lead compliance programs, audits, and reporting
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
- Demonstrated ability to influence and train others at all levels of the organization
- Travel: Occasional travel (10% or less) for training, audits, or corporate meetings
- Work Schedule: Flexibility to work multiple shifts as needed
Preferred
- Experience with ERA/EHS management software
- Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and ESG reporting
- Lean or continuous improvement experience related to environmental performance

Work Environment
- Office environmet with frequent environmental exposure to low-grade radiation from computer monitors
- Manufacturing environment, with frequent exposure to wood dusts, and cabinet-making related materials.
- Exposure to hot and cold elements due to non-climate controlled environment.
- Wearing of Personal Protection Equipment required when on manufacturing floor: eye and ear protection.
- Adherence to Entanglement clothing policy required.
