As the Materials Manager you will oversee materials planning and inventory management across the facility driving improvements in material flow to support a lean manufacturing environment. Your leadership will be key in optimizing logistics minimizing costs and ensuring operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead internal materials management activities at the Jackson GA facility.
- Develop and implement a materials strategy to enhance customer service increase inventory turns and minimize excess inventory.
- Optimize material flow within the manufacturing facility by streamlining logistics processes to reduce costs maximize resource utilization and decrease work in process.
- Provide leadership and direction to Warehousing and Receiving teams fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting s transaction validation and recordkeeping.
- Oversee the annual inventory process and audit plant s to maintain compliance and operational integrity.
