Job Description
Position Summary: Safely and efficiently performs continuous improvement activities within the department to assist employees in meeting production goals, maintaining quality standards, and team objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for improvement activities in multiple work areas.
- Proficient at using computers and Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Understands Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Standard Operating Sheet (SOS), and Critical To Quality (CTQ) concepts/processes.
- Able to review and create TPM, SOS, and CTQ for their areas.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Initiate, lead and participate in problem solving/continuous improvement actives
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Able to apply, interpret, and record statistical data
- Give feedback and report findings of non-compliance to the Quality System
- Delivers formal project status presentations to leadership
- Performs audits as assigned (OBKA, LPA, Stop Gate auditing, WIP Audits, etc.)
- Interacts with internal and external customers
- Participates in Customer, Complaint Analysis
- Trains other associates and management on quality related issues
- Able to complete tasks with minimal direction and/or supervision.
- Self motivated, creative, and a desire to continuously improve work processes.
- Take Part in DOJO training on a rotation basis.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Must have a flexible work schedule.
- Some travel may be required, less than 10%
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience with quality assurance in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at different levels within the organization.
- Detail-oriented and self-driven
- Strong sense of customer service
- must be 18 years or older.
