Our technology and innovation, partnerships and networks combine to deliver a unique set of products and services that help people, businesses and governments realize their greatest potential.Title and SummaryDirector, Learning & Development Strategy and OpsOverview : The Learning & Development organization at Mastercard has the privilege of enabling and fostering the learning and skill development of all of Mastercard's 35,000 employees – from onboarding to role-based skills and leadership development.The Director of Learning & Development Strategy and Operations is a key leadership role in the Learning & Development organization, functioning as a Chief of Staff to the Chief Learning Officer and reporting directly to the Chief Learning Officer. In this capacity, this role will lead and oversee the L&D organization’s portfolio of programs and offerings, capacity management, budget management, vendor management, process management and improvement, inquiry management experience, and internal communications and stakeholder engagement.The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of creating structures and systems from ambiguity, with the wisdom to balance flexibility where needed, diplomacy to build strong relationships across a wide range of internal stakeholders, and gravitas to represent the L&D organization in different forums.Role : Program Management : Oversee the entire portfolio of L&D programs and offerings to ensure timely design and delivery, identifying any capacity issues or resource reallocation needs.Budget Management : Oversee the L&D budget, including financial forecasting and invoice tracking and reconciliation, to ensure budget targets are met.Vendor Management : Manage the L&D vendor portfolio, including third-party due diligence processes and executing vendor portfolio rationalization strategies.Operational Rhythm : Sustain the regular operating rhythm of the L&D organization and leadership team, including weekly leadership team meetings, quarterly operating reviews, quarterly L&D reports, and quarterly L&D town halls.Presentations and Communications : Support the Chief Learning Officer on various executive-level presentations and communications / change plan to keep HR partners engaged and informed on L&D initiatives and progressProcess Documentation : Ensure all L&D processes are documented, stored, and managed to maintain audit readiness.Process Improvement : Identify and lead process improvement initiatives.Inquiry Management Experience : Work closely with Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams to continuously identify root causes and reduce inquiries for avoidable learning / training issues.All About You : Skills and Qualifications- Advanced Program Management skills : demonstrated experience in program managing a large portfolio of complex initiatives and projects with a high degree of interdependencies - Strong Communication and Presentation Skills : demonstrated ability to distill complex information into a simple narrative using different presentation / communication frameworks depending on audience; excellent PowerPoint skills are essential - Analytical Skills and Financial Acumen : Excellent analytical skills and financial acumen with the ability to interpret and synthesize data into a recommendation to inform sound decision-making.- Strategic Thinking and Enterprise-wide Mindset : Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture and interconnectivity and interdependencies across the organization; and from these perspectives be able to form meaningful connections that drive greater impact and scale - Adaptability and Problem-Solving : Flexible and adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills and high learning agility; experienced in working under tight deadlines with shifting / competing priorities.- Culture Building and Employee Experience : Passionate about fostering an inclusive workplace; experienced in building a positive culture and enhancing employee experience.- Global Experience : Experience working with global teams and understanding cultural sensitivities is critical.
