Position Overview:

The Regional Director (RD) is responsible for providing leadership, motivation, accountability, and development of MasterCorp personnel within the assigned region and ensuring assigned sites are consistently meeting quality and timeliness standards along with budget objectives. This position is responsible to develop and maintain a professional and effective relationship with all resort management, vendors, and service providers to MasterCorp, and its clients. As well, the RD’s purpose is to develop and maintain a high level of communication and spirit of partnership with site management teams, regional and corporate personnel. The Regional Director must ensure Company mission statement and values are followed, always motivated by the best interests of the Company, its employees, and customers. The RD develops and maintains a high standard of excellence at each site within division and creates and establishes plans to ensure each site is meeting and/or exceeding established goals and objectives. The RD ensures site contractual obligations, company policies and procedures are followed, and inspires a positive culture at each site.

  • Take ownership for the successful operation of assigned properties working collaboratively with business partners to ensure KPIs and other performance goals are achieved
  • Enable direct reports to ensure proper inventory of tools and chemicals is always maintained; ensure equipment is in good operating condition, rotating out in accordance with replacement schedules/plans
  • Provide routine updates to leadership meeting frequency and information expectations established
  • Act as a change leader and champions organizational changes to achieve short and long-term goals and objectives
  • Conduct site visits based on Company directives.
  • Monitor the key performance indicators of Quality, Timeliness and Budget, and help site management achieve. targets. Holds teams accountable for measurable results and develop action plans with teams if key metrics aren’t being achieved.
  • Create an overall people plan for the region that reflects bench strength and succession planning coupled with consistent mentoring and people development.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to create recruiting strategies for each site - monitoring staffing levels and communicating that strategy to site management, Field Recruiters and Division HR Director to ensure staffing levels are achieved and maintained well before high demand.
  • Coach site managers to provide a quality work experience for team members through correct selection, onboarding, training, and employee rewards and recognition programs; leverage business partners in Learning and Development and Field HR when necessary.
  • Interview, select, onboard, and oversee training of Executive Housekeepers and Assistant Executive Housekeepers.
  • Manage performance of management teams, including evaluating, coaching, developing, and disciplining management members as needed.
  • Ensure properties have a welcoming culture of engagement and inclusion.
  • Provide timely response to associate concerns by addressing them directly or referring them to others who can assist.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback to direct reports; conduct “skip-level” meetings with indirect reports.
  • Consistently enforces established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure established policies and procedures are carried out as defined, including but not limited to; MasterTalks, STS, grooming/uniform standards, new hire onboarding/orientation, “7-steps to clean” training, etc.
  • Enable monthly and quarterly meetings to engage with team, including Housekeeper Councils and “all-hands” meeting
  • Ensure a safe working environment at each site and office, and work with the resort and MasterCorp facilities to keep the Housekeeping Department in good shape.
  • Ensure that a transportation strategy is in effect for the site – utilizing vehicles and drivers with efficiency, and that vehicle safety protocols and program are being followed by all site employees and other assets are maintained and in good working order.
  • Ensure that a housing strategy is in place for those markets that will require foreign guest workers.
  • Partner with Workforce Housing to source appropriate, safe and affordable housing for the foreign guest workers, work with landlords and corporate personnel to negotiate rental agreements and ensure that corporate personnel have all agreements and understand timelines of housing to ensure proper reimbursement to the company and employee.
  • Consistently and effectively communicate the company objectives to all sites. management teams through organized and scheduled conference calls and emails.
  • Execute established manager meetings, training, company rollouts, etc.
  • Build a professional relationship with resort management and other key members of the resort staff and maintains frequent communication with resort team.
  • Coach Executive Housekeepers on developing and maintaining professional relationships with resort management team.
  • Develop a customer first culture and display professional behavior to MasterCorp clients and client owners and guests.
  • Be knowledgeable of all services provided at assigned sites and identify additional business opportunities and communicate those to Division VP.
  • Perform duties of Executive Housekeeper if needed.
  • Comply with Resort Operations 15 Non-negotiables without fail
  • Ensure MasterMind Mobile is used to update room status updates for all Housekeepers and Supervisors.
  • Conduct business in an ethical and transparent manner.


Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in area directly related to the job or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum five years of progressive responsibility in housekeeping operations with successful multi-site or mega-site responsibility.
  • Language Skills: Effective written and verbal English communication, bi-lingual Spanish a plus.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • A proven track record of driving strong performance and key field operations metrics.
  • Outstanding leadership skills. Inspiring interpersonal effectiveness to lead teams, train talent and effect change. Track record of building talent.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond quickly to changing priorities and make good decisions.
  • Strong writing, verbal presentation, and client facing skills.
  • Outstanding analytical ability with an attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Superior problem solving and reasoning skills.
  • Builds positive relationships with peers, management, and customers.
  • Strives to continually build knowledge and skills.
  • Is approachable & always follows up.
  • Display a passion for cleanliness.
  • Pro-active, self-managing. Work irregular hours and travel.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for certain locations.
